With that in mind, here are some beginner tips to help you on your way to shooting more fantastic fresh fruit and veggie pictures:
- Clear the clutter - Stick to a minimalistic set to let the textures and colors speak for themselves.
- Make the produce the main event - Don’t be afraid to get up close and personal with your produce! Images on Pinterest are more likely to be shared when the subject takes up most of the frame.
- Stick to natural daylight - Avoid shooting pictures in the evenings (without proper lighting). Try shooting food out of direct sunlight and nearby a sunny window.
- Use fresh, colorful ingredients - Fresh, quality produce looks great with very little work, and people are drawn to colorful images.
- Add a splash of water - Dip the tips of your fingers into water and gently flick them at your fresh produce, the tiny water droplets can add a nice “freshly washed” feel.
